9 Ways To Make Your Bedroom Look Expensive

Here are some simple ways to turn your bedroom into a luxurious suite.

1) Pillows: Over fill your throw pillows. Luxury is all in the details and there is nothing more luxurious than plush plump pillows. Take a cue from 5 star hotels and transform your bedroom from "everyday living" to a real high end retreat.

2) Nightstand: A nightstand holds all of your daily essentials from books, hand creams, clocks, phones, drinks, and charging cords. Now take a minute to rethink how you can organize them or display them. Hide those items in the drawer and put a beautiful tray on the top of your nightstand to display them neatly.

3) Lighting: Add a romantic chandelier or elegant hanging light that will make a statement in the middle of your room, or in a reading corner. Get rid of those boob lights! 4) Floors: Clean up that floor and get it in order. A cluttered bedroom makes for a cluttered mind. Reorganize and put those stacked items or books, extension cords, and shoes in their proper place. Your floors should be clean and empty.

5) Hardware: You may have a dresser that you are not ready to part with due to the expense, so freshen it up by merely swapping out the drawer hardware. Replacing hardware is easy and it will upgrade your room. There are many options from copper, gemstone, crystal, stainless steel, etc.. 

6) Get A Statement Piece: Whether its a tall headboard, a bright colored dresser, a reading arm chair with rich luxurious fabric, or a lovely bench at the foot of the bed, each bedroom should have its own centerpiece. Don't clutter up your space with a lot of furniture, only functional pieces that will bring focus to your bedroom. 

7) Vanity: Clean up your vanity and get buy some inexpensive mirrored trays or makeup organizers that are stackable. 

8) Blankets & Throws: Get a luxurious throw for the the foot of the bed. Fabric like faux fur, velvet, silk, or a high end cotton are great solutions and make sure they compliment  decorative pillows. Just adding a this simple detail will easily transform your bed and give it an added touch of texture and color. 

9) Greenery: Adding greenery to a bedroom is the easiest way to upgrade your space from average to expensive looking. Just take a few minutes to evaluate your space and see what places might be best for you to add a potted plant or even a light and airy fern.
